How do I change my shutter speed on my Minolta QTsi Maxxum film camera?

OK, I got this camera at a yard sale the other day, and so far it works great. But I looked at the manual, and it said that it has different shutter speeds, but as far as I saw, it didn%26#039;t say how to change the speed. I want to do this so that I can take pics of things like lightning and that kind of stuff.
