ive tried everything but i cant figure out a way to change the shutter speed.
i need it at a fast speed to take good pictures under low light with no flash (like for fireworks, for ex).
does anyone know how to change the speed?

Though the Sony W50 doesn%26#039;t offer any direct manual exposure control, the camera%26#039;s extensive LCD menu system does offer quite a bit of creative control with image contrast, sharpness, and color options.

High Sensitivity, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Snow, Beach, Landscape, and Soft Snap modes.
Shutter speeds from 1/1,000 to 1/8 sec in Auto mode; 1/1,000 to one second in Program mode, and 1/1,000 to two seconds in Twilight mode.
So, your best option for low light with no flash would probably be twilight mode. You have an automatic camera. The best you can do is pick a mode to match your scene. If you%26#039;re not sure which to use for a given situation, try a few and see which gives you the best result. Sorry I couldn%26#039;t be more helpful for you.
