How do you change the Shutter Speed on a Sonny Cyber-shot DSC-W290?

We%26#039;re starting light graffiti in my photography class which requires a slow shutter speed. I already looked through the manual and looked around all over the camera%26#039;s menu. If I can%26#039;t manually change it, is there another way to slow down the shutter speed?|||Sorry, but that camera is in no way, shape, or form suitable for a photography class. Did not your instructor tell you that you would need a camera in which you have control of functions such as shutter and aperture? You are either going to need a more sophisticated camera, or get into another class. You can find 35mm SLR film cameras for very little cost now. These are the cameras typically required for photography classes.

steve|||You can%26#039;t.. There is no Aperture Priority, nor Shutter Priority on this camera. The longest shutter speed it has on it%26#039;s auto modes is 2 secs. It is a point and shoot camera in every sense of the word.

.|||Use programmed auto settings. There is an option of %26#039;%26#039;twilight%26#039;%26#039;. Your camera can go down to 1%26#039;%26#039; (one second) on auto , and 1%26#039;%26#039; is an eternity in photography.
