How do i change the shutter speed on my digital camera?
You cannot manually change your shutter speed because the T831 is a simple point %26amp; shoot camera.

The only option I see is for you to use one of the Scene modes (your camera has 21 of them). For example...if you use the 'Sports' setting, the camera will apply a faster shutter speed to freeze action (this will work best in good outdoor light) and the 'Pets' setting might also apply a faster shutter speed because they're hard to keep still.

If you want to use a longer exposure (slower shutter speed) you will need to use something like the 'Fireworks', 'Nightscene' or 'Candlelight' setting and mount your camera on a tripod (or place it on a stable surface) and use the self-timer option to prevent camera movement or shake during the exposure. The 'Sunset' and 'Sunrise' settings will probably also use a slightly slower shutter speed.

So, I recommend that you explore all of your camera's Scene modes...

good luck

That's a point and shooter with not much controls aside from the scene modes. If you want better shots, give it more light.
When all else fails, read the camera's manual. It's in there!
