How do you change the shutter speed on a nikon d5000?
Here's an idea, you know that book that came with the camera? It is called the manual - try reading it.
How do you change the shutter speed on a nikon d5000?
You have got to read the user manual for your new camera. You can get it online in PDF from Nikon if you don't like turning pages.
Put it in M mode or S mode and rotate the wheel on the back near your thumb. %26quot;S%26quot; mean shutter priority
If you had read your manual you would know this. I don't even use Nikons and I'd be able to figure it out.
You know Nikon goes to a lot of extra expense to print and include that thing called an owners manual packed with the camera so you will know how to use your camera. You could have looked up and found the answer in the book in a fraction of the time it took you to turn on your computer, log into Yahoo, bring up Answers, type your question, then only get a lot of frustrated people telling you to read your manual like you should have done in the first place.

Instead of vainly trying to %26quot;figure out%26quot; how to do things, why don't you read the instructions that tell you exactly how to do it, plain and simple.

Sheesh....
