How do i change the shutter speed on my powershot sd780 IS?
The SD780 IS does not have full manual controls, so you cannot change your shutter speed and/or aperture.
The only real options you have is to use 'Long Exposure' which allows you select a shutter speed of between 1 and 15 seconds. Look up...Long Shutter, in the Index of your User Guide.
Or, for a faster shutter speed to try and freeze moving subjects, you can use the %26quot;Kids %26amp; Pets%26quot; option. The camera will use a faster shutter speed (works best in bright outdoor light).
They can be found in the Scene Modes...so look them up.
