I have a 35 mm nikon camera and i do not know how to change the shutter speed on it.?

Can someone please help me and tell me where a button would normally be to change the speed of the shutter.

If your 35mm Nikon is an SLR (interchangeable lens Single Lens Reflex), you'll find the shutter speed dial as a knob on the topdeck.

Autofocus Nikons with control dials/wheels will use that wheel on the camera's back to change shutterspeeds when you've set the camera for Manual or Shutter-priority modes.

is it film or digital? on a digital body go into the info screen (usually press the shutter button half way) and use the scroller at the top right of the camera to adjust it. but it has to be on a manuel setting.
