I just need to know how to change my shutter speed with my Nikon D40. Help please! : )
How to change Shutter speed with NikonD40?
Switch the the settings dial (the one located on top of the camera)l to the M or Manual setting. Then use the dial on the back of the camera next to the LCD screen to change the shutter speed. For light painting you'll want to use Bulb mode or a very long shutter speed. You can then use a dim light and move it around in front of the camera to %26quot;paint%26quot; (while the shutter is open), just don't keep the light in one place so you don't over expose the image. Try many different techniques to get some cool results, have fun! :)
